Simon is a finance partner at the international law firm Reed Smith. He specialises in structured finance and securitisation transactions and regularly advises issuers, trustees, investors, service providers and other transaction parties in relation to post-closing matters such as debt restructurings, amendments, consent solicitations and liability management exercises, contractual interpretation issues, defaults and disputes.

He has been actively advising clients on the implications of LIBOR cessation on structured finance and securitisation transactions and providing remediation solutions through AI-assisted technology tools.

Simon is ranked as a “Leading Individual” for Capital Markets, Securitisation in the Legal 500 2021 legal rankings, and as “Highly Regarded” for structured finance & securitisation in the International Financial Law Review’s Guide to the World’s Leading Structured Finance and Securitisation Lawyers 2020 rankings. Bronagh Hardiman

Bronagh joined Vistra Alternative Investments (Ireland) Limited as a Director in July 2018. Bronagh is Head of Transaction Management in Ireland and works with asset managers, investment banks and aircraft leasing companies on a range of structured finance and aircraft finance transactions including, securitisations, CDOs, CLOs repackagings and lease-in/lease-out transactions.

Prior to joining Vistra, Bronagh was a transaction manager in Deutsche Bank in Ireland. Bronagh started her career in Barclays Global Investors working in its legal department in London. Bronagh then qualified as a solicitor with Matheson and spent several years in its Structured Finance and Derivatives Group before joining Deutsche Bank in 2015.

Bronagh holds a BCL (Law and French) from University College Cork and an LLM in Commercial Law from University College Dublin. Bronagh is a qualified solicitor and is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and also the Law Society of England and Wales.

Sandeep Patel

Sandeep is a Director in the HSBC Capital Markets team and advises clients on liability management related activities. He also has experience in financing advisory and managing global relationships with clients in the resources, energy, and utility sectors. Sandeep has over 12 years of experience in the investment banking sector, and holds a M.Eng from University College London in Chemical Engineering.

Katerina Papamichael is heading the Debt Issuer Services team in London. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the capital markets working with global financial institutions, corporate and sovereign issuers, Katerina has extensive expertise executing liability management and debt restructuring transactions (administrations, tender offers, exchanges and consent solicitations), and in researching ownership in capital structures.

Katerina coordinated and executed hundreds of corporate and sovereign debt transactions, including for GE, PEMEX, Republic of Argentina, and Republic of Greece, the largest debt restructuring in history.

Katherine has been working in the Financial Services and Capital Markets arena for almost 17 years, with over a decade building up a wealth of transactional knowledge in her role as Head of Corporate Advisory for Link Market Services managing hundreds of IPO and M&A transactions both domestically and globally. Katherine recently joined D.F. King as Business Development Director, EMEA.
